(External) Langara College & Volition Virtual Student Showcase

Langara College Web & Mobile Design & Development program students will showcase their Capstone projects in a pitch style presentation.

About this Event

In 12 short weeks, highly talented term 4 students have formed groups and together have built a full UI/UX, user-focused/customer-centric native mobile app and web-app, a fully functioning secure database, a business model, beachhead marketing strategy, and full pitch & presentation, as well as an accompanying demo.

The students' projects are centred on ideas that bring innovation and advancement to the tech field in Canada.

This Student Showcase provides invaluable experience for the soon-to-be graduating students and offers the audience an opportunity to scout new talent and exciting ideas from the future of the tech world.

Unlike most pitch events, the panel will provide feedback and Q&A, as well as judge and select the top team/project of the event.

This will be a free event. All industry professionals and students are welcome to meet talented teams and individuals and vet their projects.

What to Expect

On August 5th, join us in cheering on students from Langara College Web & Mobile Design & Development program, who will brave the virtual 'stage' to present their Capstone project, with the goal of getting strategic feedback from leaders in the Canadian tech and startup ecosystem.

As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to vote on the audience favourite, as well as engage with students and panel via polls, Q&A and Live Chat. And, if you feel you can support the teams or just want to connect, we'll provide space for that as well.

For our part, we commit to creating a comfortable and engaging space for all who attend.
