Pitch Events

  • $600 (+GST) annual membership.

  • $300 (+GST) annual membership + $100 (+GST) for each additional seat

  • $600 (+GST ) annual membership + $200 (+GST) for each additional seat.

    Attend pitch events in person or online. Access to company information and pitch recordings through Dealum.

    Additional seats are for family members or colleagues at an investment fund.

FAQs

  • VANTEC is open to accredited investors who are actively investing or planning to make their first angel investment. Representatives of accredited investors are also welcome.

  • Yes, guests must be sponsored by a current VANTEC member, and approved. Contact Aaron to introduce a prospective member.

  • An accredited investor is defined by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) in National Instrument 45-106 (section 1.1), you typically qualify if you meet at least one of the following:

    • $1M+ in net financial assets (excluding primary residence)

    • $200K+ annual income ($300K with spouse)

    • $5M+ in total net assets

  • Firstly, we’re excited to have you! Angel investing can be a bit daunting at first, but we’re here to support.

    A few pointers:

    2. Learn from other angels and build your network

    3. Stay curious and patient

    4. Consider co-investing or joining a angel network.

  • That’s okay. If you’re an accredited investor staying connected to the ecosystem and referring startups, you’re still welcome.
