Community Manager

We are looking for a Community Manager to join us on a part-time freelance basis in a long term relationship. The community manager will help our team with the organization and delivery of our monthly meetings where we introduce founders of promising BC based ventures to our community of angel investors.



  • Welcome and introduce new investors to other investors and community members as desired by the new member during our monthly investor meetings (online) and our company deep dive and community social (in person).
  • Support and connect founders as they prepare for their application, pre-screening, pitches and investor conversations
  • Support sponsors in their profiling, community engagement and help them to get value from our relationship
  • Support the VANTEC team with the ideation, planning and delivery of workshops with community partners
  • Support the team with various data collection and reporting activities



  • You enjoy helping people to get what they need from our community
  • You are a natural connector and eco-system builder 
  • You have a natural urgency to get things done one time
    • You believe in continuous improvement and enjoy doing experiments to see what works



  • You see this opportunity as a great way to add value to our community and grow our contribution and impact over time in a long term relationship
  • You are available during our monthly VANTEC Investor Meetings (first Wednesday 3-6pm), Company Deep Dives and Community Social (second Wednesday 3-6pm) and future events that we may plan
  • You are based in the Vancouver lower-mainland
  • You are tech savvy in everything digital including website (silkstart), newsletter (mailchimp), social media (LinkedIn, twitter, youtube)
